Large Animal
Sparta Veterinary Services provides reliable veterinary care to large animal pet owners in Sparta, Tennessee as well as those in White, Warren, Van Buren, Putnam, or DeKalb County. We offer routine preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of sick animals, along with a variety of veterinary medical and surgical procedures. Our clinic is equipped with large animal facilities including separate cattle and equine barns that allow Dr. Cowell to perform diagnostic procedures such as x-rays and ultrasounds as well as some surgeries.
Our cattle services include calf pulling, assistance with herd health, breeding soundness exams, pregnancy checking, dehorning, and vaccinations. For our equine patients, we provide dentistry services, routine exams and vaccinations, as well as minor surgical procedures.
In addition to cattle and horses, Dr. Colwell also supplies health care services for smaller farm animals such as sheep and goats.
